Local project coordinator:
The University of Surrey has a long history of teaching in European studies, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The School currently offers a range of teaching modules at all levels on aspects of European politics. The formation of the School of Politics in 2004 allowed for the introduction of many innovative pedagogies, supported by a wide range of individual teaching awards for members of staff and a close working relationship with the University’s Department for Higher Education. In 2012, the School was awarded a Jean Monnet Chair. The project team has extensive experience of teaching and researching together in relevant fields. The University’s wide experience of working with international students, integrating professional placements into study programmes and its success in giving students appropriate skills for further employment (with the highest graduate employment rate in England) all contribute to the proposed project.
