The National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”’s (NaUKMA) is a classical university with six faculties (Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Economics, Computer Sciences, Natural Sciences). NaUKMA's mission is to rear a national elite that has been exposed to international and, particularly, Western standards of education and research. In doing so the NaUKMA seeks to guarantee the intellectual and cultural independence of the state and to maintain the national identity. The National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” is the only university in the country that includes the three cycles of education which correspond to European and world standards (bachelor, master and doctorate – PhD, where the Liberal Art Principle allows the students to form their trajectory of study by their own), and where classes are held in two languages – Ukrainian and English. Graduates of NAUKMA are continuously in demand in the labour market.
